Good morning Honourable Commissioners representing the Omoluabi states of SW Nigeria, it is a great pleasure to welcome you to Abeokuta in Ogun State where you have chosen to once again gather on behalf of the 40 million strong people of the Region, to brainstorm on the progress made so far and peer into the agricultural future of the Region.

What better time than now to congregate, at a time the gravy train of Agriculture and Agri-Business is moving in the country and if we fail to jump on the train as a people, we not only risk being left behind, but indeed the threat of starvation becomes real as we continue to depend solely on other Regions of the country and foreign countries to continue feeding our rapidly growing population.
