In response to the growing concern over students’ underperformance in the Southwest Region, particularly in terminal examinations, the Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN) Commission, in partnership with the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO)-funded Partnership for Learning for All in Nigeria (PLANE) Programme, convened a high-level education roundtable bringing together Commissioners of Education, Permanent Secretaries, development partners, and technical experts. The roundtable created a strategic platform to reflect on regional learning challenges, identify root causes of underperformance, and chart actionable solutions to improve learning outcomes across Southwest states.
