Marriage, also called matrimony or wedlock, is a socially or
ritually recognized union or legal contract between spouses that
establishes rights and obligations between them, between them
and their children, and between them and their in-laws.
Marriage is one of the oldest institutions among Yoruba, it marks
the end and beginning of a new era between two differently
individuals, who agreed to live together and their union creates
everlasting friendship between homes of their births.
