DAWN Commission, on Thursday, 10th May, 2018, held a Workshop on CODING, a Skill Considered to be highly relevant in the emerging global labour market, with the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Obafela Bank-Olemoh, as the Guest Facilitator.
High Level Policy Makers were present at the Workshop to discuss Innovative and Impactful Interventions to Fast Track Development within the States of Western Nigeria (SoWN)
The Director General of DAWN Commission, Mr. Seye Oyeleye, in his opening remarks, said \"Over time, we have had potential investors come in and talk about huge investments. However, we must have the workforce for that future.\"
In his words, he said the job at DAWN Commission is to identify successful models in the Western States and implement them across the Region.
Delegates from all the Southwest States - Oyo, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, and Ekiti are excited about what Lagos State is doing and are eager to collaborate in knowledge-sharing towards this regional development in Education and Technology.
The DG also said DAWN will be inviting States in the Region to adopt the Lagos State Model.
