In line with the mandate to drive investment into the six States of Southwest Nigeria, DAWN Commission, in partnership with O’dua Investment Company Limited (OICL) is set to convene the maiden edition of the 4-day biennial Western Nigeria Investment Summit (WNIS) tagged “INVEST WEST”. The Summit, specifically aimed at facilitating local and foreign direct investments into the Region, is scheduled to hold in Lagos State, Nigeria in the fourth quarter of 2019.
According to Seye Oyeleye, the Director General of DAWN Commission, the summit will provide opportunities for investors to optimise the Southwest regional economic potentials. The 2019 Edition of WNIS will focus primarily on investment in Agriculture, Mining, Infrastructure, and Technology.
With active participation from the public, private and development sector, the summit will provide a real-time platform for local and international investors to engage the government and co-investors on the investment opportunities in Southwest Nigeria and also seal investment contracts.
