The DG Commended the Oyo State Government for its visionary and game changing Oyo State Model Education System Interventions, otherwise known as OYOMESI.
It is pertinent to note that the Intervention Programme seeks to promote students’ achievements and preparation for global competitiveness by fostering educational excellence and ensuring equal access for all, through character education, localized education contents and improving teacher competence and standardization of education processes.
In like manner, it serves as an instrument to access funds from individual and international community, prepare Oyo State for a knowledge-based future, usage of technology to create participative, transparent and responsive learning environment and inevitably produce global champions and leaders from the pace setting state.
Mr. Seye Oyeleye reiterated the commitment of DAWN Commission to work with the Oyo State Government, and by extension, other states of Western Nigeria, as well as education stakeholders, in order to identify areas of replicability and adoption among the six states of the region
